The BJDD provides an international forum for a multidisciplinary
approach to the problems posed by mental handicap/learning
disability in all countries. Emphasis is put on the practical implications
of the work of educationists, instructors, nurses, occupational and other
therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, whether taking
place in a hospital setting or in community care.

Recently published scientific papers indicate the wide range of interests
served and the appeal to research workers as well as to professional
care staff and to parents.
